Twilight Imperium reaches its Fourth Edition, one of the sacred monsters of war and civilization games reaches this enviable milestone with updated gameplay and absolutely gorgeous graphics and components. As one of the seventeen available factions you will have to be able to gain dominion of the galaxy, fighting and bargaining with the other factions in the game who will do everything to give you a hard time. Each faction offers different methods to achieve victory, with absolutely unique and varied mechanics, however, only one of them will be able to sit on the throne of Mecatol Rex. At the beginning of the game you will have the opportunity to create the game galaxy around the planet of Mecatol Rex using the many tiles at your disposal, determined at random. During each game round you will have the opportunity to choose instead one of 8 strategy cards that will define the order of the turns and particular bonuses to be exploited. You will then use your turn to move your fleet, conquer new planets, attack some opponent or trade with it. At the end of the turns of the various players you will meet in council to define new laws that will impact the rules of the game in the next round. During the game you will have to be able to collect as many objectives as possible between the secret and the public ones, getting closer and closer to the finish line of the 10 victory points that are necessary for the final victory!
