The Fiat 131, a compact sedan released by the highly acclaimed Italian Fiat, gained high praise for its very orthodox yet simple design and advanced exterior features. Hot Wheels is releasing a new mold item this time, based on the quite ordinary 131 sedan. It takes inspiration from the ‘Abarth’ 131, tuned by the prestigious ‘Abarth’ company, known for its long history of developing race cars and rally cars.
Equipped with a dedicated 2.0-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine, the Abarth 131 prioritizes robustness and durability. The chassis and suspension are reinforced while focusing on lightweight construction. The exterior features overfenders to accommodate wide tires, the removal of heavy front and rear bumpers, and the addition of aerodynamic parts.
Having excelled in the World Rally Championship (WRC), the Abarth 131 has achieved the Manufacturers’ Title three times, awarded to the manufacturer of the machine with the most victories.
