It was equipped with a 7-liter 4-valve V-type 8-cylinder engine called the Cobra Jet, gaining popularity due to its high performance.
AMT/ERTL’s model kit reproduces the sporty Torino Cobra Fastback, with the 428-cubic-inch V8 Cobra Jet engine, capable of producing up to 335 horsepower. The chassis features separate parts for the exhaust pipes; the tires feature tread patterns and detailed wheels. The interior features front and rear seats and dashboard as separate bathtub-type parts. The hood features the powerful air scoop, and it can be raised after assembly to admire the engine.
