The midsize Chevelle was produced by GM/Chevrolet from 1964 through 1977. A wide range of body styles such as coupe, sedan, convertible and station wagon were available, and it was widely popular not only as a versatile family car, but also as a car that was easily customized for stock car races, dirt racing, and other motor sports.
This retro model kit from AMT/ERTL reproducing a Chevelle modified for speedway use is back by popular demand! Its strong, boxy body has lots of presence; the front bumper bar, side rails and other parts are carefully reproduced. Its modified chassis is also faithfully rendered. The cockpit with bucket seats and details on the roll cage pad enhance its reality, as does its fully reproduced powerful 454 Chevy V8 engine. It’s molded in white, and features colorful decals for its racing number and sponsor markings; also includes four super-wide Goodyear pad-printed racing slick tires, and the front left pad-printed “floater” tire too.
