The R series is a lineup of trucks that major manufacturer Scania AB of Sweden started producing in 2005. This series featured a wide selection with a rich lineup of engine displacement and chassis type; the one with the largest displacement was the R730, released in 2011. It is equipped with a V-type eight-cylinder 16.4-liter diesel engine, and generated 730 horsepower. The Streamline version released in 2013 is designed with the strictest requirements in all aspects such as fuel efficiency, reliability and comfort. The cabin design is specific for long-distance transportation, with a large view of the road in addition to comfort.
This full-detail kit from Italeri accurately reproduces the V8 engine, suspension and cabin interior of the R730 Streamline. The cab-over type cabin depicts its voluminous design, and details such as the front grille, roof design, headlights and rearview mirrors are also accurately expressed. The cabin can be tilted up after completion; the chassis features the mechanism of the actual vehicle, including the drive system and suspension.
