This is an injection-plastic racing car model kit.
This plastic model assembly kit is a 1/24 scale model of BMW’s M3 E30 that was used in Group A touring car races! The model is based on the Autobue Rec Team’s Autotech specification, which won the class championship in the Japanese Touring Car Championship, JTC, in 1991, and also competed in the Macau Gear Race held at the Macau GP that year.
The finished overall length is about 18cm and the overall width is about 7cm, reproducing the body style realistically. You can feel the power of a machine that was developed with the goal of winning races, such as the shape of the front and rear blister fenders, which are characteristic of the high-decked trunk section and M3.
In order to reproduce the late type of M3 E30 Group A machine, special parts such as the rear wing and front air dam parts have been added to accurately reproduce the shape. In addition, the roll cage, bucket seats, and various equipment that are essential for racing models are also reproduced for a spartan finish. The underside of the chassis, from the front and rear suspensions to the lower part of the engine, has also been reproduced to give it a three-dimensional feel. The markings include the car numbers 35 and 34 that won the class championship for Autobulletec Motorsports in 1991, as well as the markings from the 1991 Macau GP gear race.
