Funabashi Shinkyo Bus operates route buses primarily in Funabashi City, Kamagaya City, and Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture. The company was established in 2003 when it was spun off from Shinkyo Seikyo Electric Railway’s automotive division, marking its 20th anniversary in 2023.
To commemorate its 20th anniversary, two vehicles from the Kamagaya depot have been repainted in retro colors reminiscent of the Shinkyo Seikyo Electric Railway’s original livery. One vehicle features the color scheme from 1949, known as the “Takuwan Bus,” which was popular for its yellow paint. The other vehicle has been repainted in the white with blue and red stripes from the Shinkyo Seikyo Electric Railway era.
These two vehicles are being released as a set in the Bus Collection series. Enjoy them alongside the currently available nationwide Bus Collection Funabashi Shinkyo Bus models.
