In the absence of humans, who mysteriously disappeared, the Earth is now inhabited by Mellifera, a species of bee that has evolved. The Mellifera grew larger and became progressively more intelligent, giving rise to a highly developed society, making scientific progress, including space travel. But their life is still short, and to overcome this obstacle, they must hibernate for most months of the year. In Apiary, each player controls one faction out of 20 different ones available. Your faction starts the game with little means: a beehive, some resources and some worker bees. On your turn you will have to choose between: Place workers on the board and perform that action: explore the galaxy, improve the hive, grow, increase in research, get resources and score bonuses. If you place a strength 4 worker, you also unlock a specific perk. Recover your workers and collect revenue. Be careful of your workers: they only have a few actions available before they go into hibernation. Will you thrive or just survive? The game ends when all the sectors of the Hibernation Honeycomb, provided for the number of players, are filled with Hibernation tokens or when a player places his seventh Hibernation token. We proceed to calculate the final score given by the sum of the points accumulated during the match with those deriving from the end-of-match scoring options. The player with the most points wins the game.
